George Hoad

Founder & Director

Born and raised in Sevenoaks, George Hoad began his craftsmanship journey over 25 years ago training in traditional timber boat building, guided by his deep passion for sailing and the sea.

George later transitioned from boatbuilding to fine cabinet making, applying the same precision and dedication to bespoke interiors. In 2011, he established Hoad & Boyd Bespoke Joinery, initially trading as The Craftsman of Sevenoaks.

Today, George leads the business with the same passion and attention to detail, creating timeless, custom joinery that blends traditional techniques with refined, modern design.

Adam Boyd

Director

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Adam Boyd brings a broad skillset and a keen eye for craftsmanship to Hoad & Boyd.

His career began with hands-on work in oak-framed construction, evolving over time to encompass increasingly complex and bespoke projects. From ground-up builds to intricate renovations, Adam’s expertise covers every stage of the process.

Adam met George Hoad in 2012, and their shared commitment to quality soon led to a strong friendship and regular collaboration. In 2019, he officially joined Hoad & Boyd as joint Director, helping to guide the company’s growth and creative direction.
